The news was confirmed on Friday, with the man having brought in the gun by concealing it in his paints. The gun was not registered and Ronnie Delouth, the man who was injured, will most likely face charges at a new hearing scheduled for Tuesday, February 28 over the incident.

Delouth will most likely remain in medical care prior to his hearing, with no records of him being transferred into police custody just yet. He was rushed to a hospital last Tuesday and is in critical condition. Video footage showed Delouth alone and moseying along across the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas when he collapsed local outlets cited by The Associated Press confirmed.

Video recording also showed that Delouth was able to remove the gun from his person and hide it under a slot machine as security was arriving on the scene. His reaction is understandable as convicted felons are prohibited from carrying arms and the law treats such offences seriously.

Delouth served time in prison over burglary and attempted robbery in 2012 in Las Vegas. His case was not commented on by either an attorney or the property. M…

The disgraced streamer posted on X today for the first time since June, sharing an image of himself playing chess across from an unseen opponent who’s playing with checkers pieces. A not-so-deep interpretation of the post is that Beahm is following through on his promise that he’s “not f***ing going anywhere,” as he stated before his self-imposed 36-day hiatus, and that he believes he’s several moves ahead of his detractors and accusers.

What, exactly, was the origin of the ubiquitous desktop computer? A strong candidate highlighted by Youtube channel Alexander the ok (via Reddit) is the Minuteman D-17b, the computer that powered the eponymous intercontinental ballistic missile from the early 1960s.

The first question that springs from this claim is what the hell does a computer in a missile have to do with desktop computing? The answer, surprisingly, is that computers from the missiles were given to universities and other research institutions, free of charge, at the end of the 1960s.

That was possible because the Minuteman 1 missile was being phased out at that time in favour of the then-new Minuteman 2. And the computers inside these missiles were quite unlike the lumbering, room-filling beasts that typified computing of the time.

Exactly what constitutes a ‘desktop’ computer is obviously subjective, even a little arbitrary. However, Alexander the ok suggests a definition around the idea of a general purpose machine small enough and light enough to be picked up by a single person. Poor Malenia, Blade of Miquella, Elden Ring’s training dummy for testing some of the most ridiculous builds. If she isn’t getting bullied by a naked man wearing only a jar, she’s getting flies thrown at her until she can’t take it anymore and gives up her Great Rune. Now, thanks to two players who realized Shadow of the Erdtree’s new hand-to-hand weapon type won’t even let her retaliate, her status as the hardest bosses in the game has been called into question.

Reddit user oRezyn posted video proof that Shadow of the Erdtree’s new spin kick ash of war, Dryleaf Whirlwind, can completely trivialize the duel against Malenia, provided you have a buddy with the same loadout. In the video, oRezyn and another player, known together as ‘Let us duo her’, take turns kicking Malenia—which interrupts literally anything she tries to do—for a solid minute without taking a single hit.

“Imagine being one of the strongest demigods and getting stunlocked into infinity by two naked dudes,” Vagabond_Charizard wrote in the comments.

Not that we were expecting anything else, but new trade body listings confirm that AMD’s RX 7600 and Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards are both imminent. And both will run with just 8GB of graphics memory.

The listings are posted on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s website, which is the governing body of the Eurasian Economic Union, which roughly speaking is a former Soviet bloq equivalent of the EU.

Anyway, one listing for ASRock includes entries for the RX 7600 indicating 8GB of graphics memory, while another for Gigabyte has both the RX 7600 and Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti, both running 8GB of graphics memory.

The listings also imply that these cards will be launched shortly and indeed the expectation for some time is that both cards will appear later in May just before the Computex tech trade fair, or possibly at the fair itself at the beginning of June.

The big remaining unknown is pricing. And it will be pricing and how it combines with those 8GB frame buffers that defines these cards. As we’ve reported previously, games that breach the 8GB barrier, even running at just 1080p, are becoming more widespread.

Performance projections leaked to Igor’s Lab show what Intel’s internal expectations are for its next two generations of processors. The numbers highlight an up to 21% performance uptick for 2024’s Arrow Lack CPU, over the current top 13th Gen CPU and a massive boost to its gaming graphics performance, too. 

Though the upcoming Raptor Lake refresh, or 14th Gen of Intel’s desktop processors, don’t look anywhere near so comparatively impressive. We’re talking a 4% improvement, at best.

Tested against the Core i9 13900K as a baseline, next year’s Arrow Lake chips not only look to be up 21% faster overall—in a selection of integer and floating point benchmarks—but also smash their predecessor with around double the iGPU performance in 3DMark Time Spy. 

That’s quite a performance boost for Arrow Lake’s tiled GPU, but just as was the case for the Core i9 13900K that came before it, the chip isn’t exactly focused on gaming. Double the UHD 770’s Time Spy figure would put it around 2,000 marks, which is around two-thirds the performance of AMD’s impressive Radeon 780M GPU in the Ryzen 7 7840U used in modern gaming handhelds.

We’ve given the nod to the Razer DeathAdder V3 as our best gaming mouse, but if it was my money looking for a gaming mouse this Cyber Monday? I’ve just never had a Logitech mouse let me down. Every non-Logi rodent I’ve laid my grubby fingers on has given up the ghost sooner than I’d have liked, while my clickers from the big L have managed five years or more.
